Notes:
In 1406, when his older brother Henry III of Castile died, Ferdinand turned down the throne of Castile, but became co-regent during his nephew John II of Castile's minority.

Ferdinand assured his election to the throne of Aragon in 1410 by capturing the Moorish fortress of Antequera. It also resulted in a nickname, El De Antequera (He of Antequera).
