"Jockey of Norfolk, be not so bold, Dickon your master is bought and sold," read an anonymous note that John Howard received the night before the battle of Bosworth. This note appears to be one of the few historically accurate details of Shakespeare's depiction of the battle.
Portrayed by John Phillips in the 1955 film of Shakespeare's play, "Richard III."
